Tips for safe storage:
1. Always store in a moisture-free environment.
2. Never store the scope in places such as the
passenger compartments of vehicles on hot days, the
high temperatures could adversely affect the
lubricants and sealants.
3. Avoid direct sunlight that can enter the objective
or the ocular lens, damage may result from the
concentration (burning effect) of the suns rays.
flip-up covers
Your riflescope is supplied with two metal flip-up
covers to protect the lenses when not in use. Each
cover has a key for attaching it to the riflescope.
1. Open the flip-up cover and place it at the desired
angle.
2. Locate the correct size key and insert into the
grooves. The grooves are located on the inner thread
of the covers.
3. Turn the key until the cover is securely in place. If
the cover is not in the correct position, loosen slightly
and adjust position.
4. The opening and closing resistance of the flip-up
cover can be adjusted by loosening or tightening the
screw in the hinge.
Note: Ensure the ocular focus has been adjusted
before installing the flip-up cover to the eyebell. The
cover may not end up in the desired position if the
ocular is adjusted after the flip-up cover is installed.

and hunting applications.
Half Mil Dot spacing on the lower vertical post
provides increased aim points when compensating
for long shots. Additional bars calculated at 1/2,
1, 1½ and 2 Mil spacing compensate for cross winds.
The outer posts are divided into Mil spacing making
them perfect for bracketing and range finding.
MAintAining your riflescope
Each Hawke riflescope is a precision instrument that
deserves a high level of care. During manufacture the
scope is purged with dry nitrogen and sealed to give
a lifetime of reliability. Do not attempt to disassemble
or clean the scope internally.
Keep the protective lens covers in place when the
scope is not in use.
The external lens coatings should occasionally be
wiped clean with the lens cloth provided or an
optical quality lens paper. Remove any external dirt
with a soft brush to avoid scratching the lens.
NOTE: Unnecessary rubbing or use of a coarse cloth
may cause permanent damage to lens coatings. To
clean the external surface of the scope it is
recommended that a silicone impregnated cleaning
cloth is used to protect the scope against corrosion.
