14.0 SEALING AT PENETRATIONS
(PIPES, ELECTRICAL AND MOUNTING BOXES)
Sealing Around Pipes
Cut an “X” in the building wrap that is slightly smaller than the pipe and then
push the building wrap over the pipe to get a tight fit. Use GreenGuard® Custom
Seam Tape or Flashing to seal the building wrap to the pipe as shown.
Sealing at Exterior Electrical Boxes
Install a piece of building wrap on the interior side of the wall, leaving the wrap
loose enough to fit the electrical box into the opening from the exterior side of
the wall. Use GreenGuard® Custom Seam Tape or Flashing to seal around the
electrical box as shown.
13.0 SEALING AT TERMINATIONS –
PARAPET WALLS
Install GreenGuard® Butyl Flashing on the top of the wall as shown and extend the
flashing so that it overlaps the building wrap a minimum of 2 inches.
