FLEX TPO CLAD METAL
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Flex TPO Clad Metal is a 24 gauge galvanized steel sheet that is coated with a layer of .035” non-
reinforced TPO flashing membrane. Flex TPO membranes are hot air welded directly to the TPO Clad
Metal for flashing and perimeter edge roof installation details. The Flex TPO Clad Metal is manufactured
in 4’x10’ sheets.
APPLICATIONS
The metal sheets are cut to appropriate sizes and fabricated into the profiles required for metal drip edges
or other configurations required for roof flashing detail work.
BENEFITS
Flex TPO membranes are hot air welded directly to the clad metal for a watertight and permanent
installation.
Eliminates the use of glued, taped or self- adhered cover strips.
INSTALLATION
Install Flex TPO Clad Metal with a 1/8” to 1/4 “ space between adjoining sections.
Cover joints with 2” wide aluminum or duct tape prior to hot air welding a 6” wide piece of Flex TPO
Trim Strip over joint. Hot air weld to be a minimum of 1 ½” in width.
LIMITATIONS
Store clad metal in a cool, shaded area and cover with light colored, breathable, waterproof tarps. Flex
TPO Clad Metal that has been exposed to weathering will require cleaning with Flex Weathered
Membrane Cleaner prior to hot air welding.
