The Purlin Fastener is designed to self drill standard purlins (18-12 gauge).
The Purlin Fastener has 2/4” drill point which allows the screw to quickly drill
through the purlin before the threads engage. Therefore, the effective length of the
Purlin Fastener is 3/4” less than the actual length. For insulation attachment, use
the standard 3” insulation plate.
