Before Using
For the First
Time
The washing machine must be
installed and connected properly
(refer to Page 7).
Before using your washing machine
for the first time:
q Make sure that the supplied
voltage is the same as the voltĆ
age shown on the rating plate.
q Check that the water valves for
the washing machine have
been connected correctly and
are open.
Using For the
First Time
Selecting the language
i The program selector must not
be set to Off.
i The language must be selected
before a program is started.
q Simultaneously press the Menu
and Select buttons and hold
down (5 seconds) until the
current setting is displayed.
q Press the Select button until
the desired language is
displayed.
q Confirm the language selection
by pressing the Menu button.
i The language selection can be
confirmed either by pressing
the Menu button or by leaving
the selected language for five
seconds.
i The selected setting is retained
after the wash cycle.
Setting the time
i To define the individual settings
(especially Program finished
at"), it is necessary to set
the time first; see Page 27.
First washing cycle
(without laundry)
Your appliance was tested before
leaving the factory. To remove
residues from production and
testing procedures, the first
washing cycle should be carried out
without laundry in the machine.
q Do not load any laundry.
q Turn on the water tap.
q Open the flap of the detergent
dispenser.
q Pour approx. 1 quart (1 liter) of
water into the detergent
chamber I; see Page 18.
q Fill a regular measuring cup
halfway full of detergent and
pour into detergent chamber I.
i Do not use special detergents
for delicates or wool (this will
cause excessive sudsing).
q Close the flap of the detergent
dispenser.
q Close the door.
q Set the program selector to
Regular/Cotton temp. boost.
The Start/Pause indicator light
flashes (red).
q Press the Start/Pause button.
The program starts.
The indicator light is on (red).
i The individual program steps
are indicated in the display field.
When Remove laundry" is
displayed:
q Open the door.
q Turn the program selector to
Off.
