5. ToP BaIl
The top bail controls the left wheel brake. When grinding
stumps, depress the top bail to the handle so that the
Stump grinder can be pivoted from side to side on the
left wheel.
4. BoTTom BaIl
hold the bottom bail up to the handle during operation.
Releasing the bottom bail will stop the engine.
3. THroTTle leVer
The throttle adjusts engine speed. Move the throttle lever
to choke position when starting the engine. after the en-
gine is warmed up, move the throttle lever to run.
7. sCreeneD oPenInG
Watch through the opening to accurately position the
stump grinder during operation.
8. CarBIDe CuTTInG TeeTH
The tip of the cutting teeth is made of carbide, which is
many times harder than steel. The sharpness of the teeth
should be checked every eight operating hours.
1. Fuel CaP
Open to refill fuel.
2. reCoIl sTarTer
Pull recoil starter handle out smoothly to start engine.
Repeat if necessary.
6. ToP CoVer
Remove top cover to check and change drive belt.
