To adjust belt tension:
1. Loosen the fan motor mounting plate nuts.
2. Size 090 and 102 — Slide the motor mounting plate
away from the fan scroll for proper belt tension (
5
/
8
-in.
deflection with 8 to 10 lb of force) and tighten the
mounting nuts (see Fig. 31).
Size 120 — Slide the motor mounting plate down-
ward to tighten belt tension (
5
/
8
-in. deflection with 5
to 10 lb of force). Secure the motor mounting plate
nuts. See Fig. 32.
3. Adjust the bolt and nut on the mounting plate to
secure the motor in a fixed position.
