• Quality: You can adjust your image quality fluctuation. Highest, High, Medium, Low, Lowest.
Highest is recommended, although it will effect your bandwidth
• Frame rate: The frame rate is how many unique consecutive images are displayed per second
in the video to give the illusion of movement. Keep in mind, that the minimum limit that our
brain needs to perceive moving frames as a video is 24 Frames per Second, so there is no big
difference between 24 and 30 fps except the higher frame rate will effect your bandwidth and
data storage
• 960H is a step up from D1 resolution. D1 produces a lower quality image and stretches the
image, while 960H is a higher quality image with no image distortion.
*Note: To get 960H capabilities, you must check the 960H Enhanced box to get the Encode format menu to
change options
3.4 Record Setup:
Use your mouse and click the right button to select “Setup” key, select “System setup”, and select
“Record Setup”.
• Channel: Pick the camera view you want to record
• Weekday: Choose the day you would like to set up, or you can choose “Everyday” if you want
everyday to be recorded at the same times/settings.
• Modes: “
Manual
” is when you have manually specified the recording, and it is in
blue.
“
Time
”
will give a constant recording according to what time you have selected, and is shown in
red
on
the time bar, “
Motion
” will only record when motion is detected and is shown in
green
on the
time bar and “
Sensor
” will record if you have a sensor connected to the back of the DVR to
record when the sensor is activated and is shown in
yellow
on the time bar.
*Note: “
Sensor
” will record for approximately 30 seconds after sensor activation.
