Note: this function is only available for type number HD7884. You can program the
coffee volume for both recipes. Push and hold the button for the recipe of your choice
and until the light starts to flash rapidly and release the button. The machine starts to
heat up for approximately 90 seconds during which the light flashes slowly. The machine
starts brewing coffee. Press the button again shortly when the desired coffee volume is
reached. The light flashes rapidly to confirm the coffee volume is saved.
Reset to factory settings: To reset the coffee volumes to factory settings, press and
hold both buttons and release when the lights start to flash. Small coffee = 60 ml,
regular coffee = 125 ml (France: 100ml).
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as petrol
or acetone to clean the appliance.
CALC
Scale builds up inside the machine during use. It is essential to descale the Senseo
coffee machine when the CALC light goes on. Use Senseo descaler (HD7012,
HD7011) only. The descaling procedure consists of a descaling cycle and two flushing
cycles. Do not interrupt the descaling cycle and do not switch off the machine before
you have performed the two flushing cycles.

by brewing a cup of hot water first without
placing a coffee pod in the pod holder.
I cannot open
the lid.
A vacuum has
formed under
the lid.
Switch of the coffee machine. Pull up the
lever and wait 24 hours before you open the
lid. You may need to use some force.
Always make sure the pod holders are clean
and the centre of the sieve is not clogged to
prevent a vacuum.
The machine always flushes automatically before first use. Never interrupt the
flushing process as this can damage your machine.
