Set up your phone
■ Answer calls
Answer or silence/reject an incoming call
1. Press the Talk key or Answer to answer the call.
2. Press the End key or Silence / Reject (carrier dependent) to mute the ringing tone;
then press Answer to answer the call, or do nothing, and the call is eventually
diverted to voicemail.

1. Press the Talk or Answer key to answer the call.
2. To mute the ringing tone, press Silence . If you don’t answer the call, the call is
eventually diverted to voicemail.
3. To dismiss and divert the call to voicemail (a carrier dependent feature), press
Dismiss after you have muted the ringing tone or press the End key at any time.
Answer a call with the keypad locked
To answer a call with the keypad locked, simply press the Talk key. During the call, all
features function as normal. When you end or silence/reject the call, the keypad
automatically relocks. See Keyguard, 21 for details.
When the keypad is locked, calls still may be possible to the official emergency number
programmed into your phone.
Adjust the earpiece volume
While in a call, scroll right or left to adjust the volume of the earpiece.
When adjusting the volume, a bar chart appears in the display indicating the volume
level.
