Card Reader (SD/MMC)

NOTE

The large variety of memory cards on the market

prevent us from guaranteeing full compatibility with

all memory cards. For this reason it can happen that

in exceptional cases playback problems for memory

cards occur. This is

not a malfunction of this unit.

Connect Media

Remove the control panel (see Page 68).

Insert a memory card with the label pointing up into

the card slot until it locks with a click. Insert the con-

trol panel again (see Page 68). The display shows

SD

PLAY. Playback of MP3 or WMA tracks on the memory

cards starts automatically.

Removal of the storage medium

Press the end of the memory card to remove it.

Playback and Search Function

Operation for file playback from external media device

as well as the search function is similar to MP3 CDs.

Repeatedly press

MODE (20) to select card mode.

repairs can cause significant danger for the user and

damage to the unit.

The car ignition

switch is not on.

If the power supply

is properly con-

nected to the car

accessory terminal,

switch the ignition

key to “ACC”.

No sound

The volume is set to

minimum.

Increase the vol-

ume.

Wiring is improper.

Check the wiring.

Disc cannot

be loaded or

is ejected.

Presence of disc inside

the player.

Remove the disc in

the player, and then

load a new one.

Disc inserted in

reverse direction.

Insert the compact

disc with the label

facing up.

The disc is extremely

dirty or defective.

Clean the disc or try

to play a new one.

CD format is not sup-

ported.

Insert a different

CD.

Mistake with home-

burnt CD.

Check your CD in a

different player.

Temperature inside

the car is too high.

Cool off or wait

until the ambient

temperature returns

to normal.

Condensation on the

laser.

Turn the unit off

for several hours

until the moisture is

evaporated.

CD skips.

Installation angle over

30°.

Decrease installa-

tion angle to less

than 30°.

CD dirty or damaged. Clean the CD or

play different CD.

The opera-

tion keys do

not work.

The built-in micro-

computer is not

operating properly

due to noise.

Press RESET (25).

The front panel is not

correctly installed.

Remove the front

panel, press RESET

button and install

again.

The radio

does not

work or no

auto scan.

The antenna cable is

not connected.

Insert the antenna

cable firmly.

The signals are too

weak.

Select a station

manually.

Station

memory does

not work.

Terminal 4 of ISO

connector A (con-

properly connected.
