16.6 Outgoing Message (OGM)
When the answering system answers a call, the pre-recorded outgoing message is played to the caller
unless you have recorded your own outgoing message.
The phone comes with two pre-recorded outgoing messages (OGM) for the respective answer modes:
“ANSWER ONLY” and “ANSW. & RECORD”.
By default, the answer mode is “ANSW. & RECORD”, which allows a caller to leave a message on
the answering machine after hearing the announcement. This can be changed to “ANSWER ONLY”
mode, which does not allow callers to leave any messages on the answering machine after hearing the
announcement.
16.6.1 Record a Personalised Outgoing Message
You can choose to replace the default OGM with your own personalised messages.
• From the home screen, press
.
• Press to “ANSW MACHINE” and then press to select.
• Press to “RECORD OGM” and then press to select.
• Press to select “ANSWER ONLY” or “ANSW. & RECORD” and then press to confirm.
• Press to “RECORD OGM” and press .
>A confirmation beep is played.
• Speak into the handset to start recording your new outgoing message and press key again to end
the recording.
>A confirmation beep is played.
• Press to return to standby mode.
Note:
The maximum length of an outgoing message is 2 minutes.
16.6.2 Listen to an Outgoing Message
• From the home screen, press .
• Press to “AnSW MACHInE” and then press to select.
• Press to “RECORD OGM” and then press to select.
• Press to select “AnSWER OnLY” or “AnSW. & RECORD” and then press to confirm.
• Press to select “PLAY“.
>The outgoing message plays through the phone’s speaker.
>Press if you wish to listen to the outgoing message privately over the earpiece.
• Press to return to standby mode.
16.6.3 Delete a Personalised Outgoing Message
If you want to return to using the default OGM, simply delete your personalised OGM.
• From the home screen, press
.
• Press to “AnSW MACHInE” and then press to select.
• Press to “RECORD OGM” and then press to select.
• Press to select “AnSWER OnLY” or “AnSW. & RECORD” and then press to confirm.
• Press to “DELETE” and press to confirm.
>The default pre-recorded outgoing message is played.
• Press to return to standby mode.
