RGB Setting

The RGB settings are in the circle below on the Expert Color Settings window.

RGB Source Profile

Rendering Style

RGB Separation

Select a profile that defines monitor's color gamut (color space that can be displayed).
Selecting an appropriate profile allows more precise color output.

Printer's default

Default condition set by the administrator is used as it is.

EFIRGB

EFI-defined color space. It is optimum for files that contain no RGB data.

sRGB(PC)

Color space developed by Microsoft for Windows compatible monitors. It is effective for gen-
eral color output from a Windows environment.

Apple Standard

Color space developed by Apple for Macintosh compatible monitors. It is effective for general
color output from a Macintosh environment.

Other

Custom Setup is activated allowing customization of RGB source profile. Gamma, white point
and chromaticity coordinate can be selected respectively.

None

Color space specified on the application is used directly.

Select a rendering style used for color conversion.
You can change output color tendency by selecting different style.

Printer's default

Default condition set by the administrator is used as it is.

Perceptual

Color gradation is given the priority. It is effective for photo images.

Saturation

Images are output in bright and deep colors. It is optimum for presentation materials. For
pages that include perceptual images such as photos, only the areas are output in Perceptual
style.

Relative Colorimetric

The reproducible colors are output as they are and the non-reproducible colors are output in
the proximal colors. The colors are reproduced without the white point information, differently
from the Absolute Colorimetric.
It is ideal for illustration images, which include many solid areas (100% density).

Absolute Colorimetric

The reproducible colors are output as they are and the non-reproducible colors are output in
the proximal colors. It attempts to reproduce colors including the white point information in the
RGB source profile.
For example, when the white point has low color temperature and yellowish, the image is
printed entirely yellowish (including the white background).

Select a RGB separation style.

Printer's default

Default condition set by the administrator is used as it is.

Output

It is selected when using the CMYK color space of the copier.

Simulatio

n

It is selected to simulate output results when using other printing devices.
