A good tip before launching your sim is to move all the axes on the

controller through their full range of movement a few times. This will

ensure the controller is correctly calibrated.

To set up a button in FS2004 and FSX:

• In FSX click to Settings > Controls >

Buttons/Keys.
• In FS2004 go to Settings > Assignments >

Buttons/Keys.
• Make sure that the correct controller is

selected in the drop down menu called

Controller Type (Joystick Type in FS2004).
• Locate the button event you want to set

to your controller from the list displayed.

Left-click it once, and then select the

Change Assignment option.
• When the Change Assignment window

appears, press the button on the

controller that you want assigned

to that event. The button number

will be displayed in the Window, then

click OK to confirm.
To set up an axis in FS2004/FSX:

• In FSX click to Settings > Controls >

Control Axes. In FS2004 go to Settings

> Assignments > Joystick Axes.
• Make sure that the correct controller is selected

in the drop down menu called

Controller Type (Joystick Type in FS2004).
