Tools required for installation: 1) Power drill with 3/16" & 1/4" drill bits. 2) Phillips & Slotted head screwdrivers.
3) Hammer and a small block of wood. 4) 1/4" Allen head wrench.
Installation kit should include these parts: 1) 2" Removable threshold. 2) Four #10-32 x 1½" length Phillips flat
head stainless steel screws. 3) Four brass anchors for #10 screws. 4) Four ½-13 x 1/2" length Socket set nylon
screws. 5) Four #10-32 x 5/8" length Slotted round head nylon screws.
Steps to install the removable threshold:
1) Position removable threshold on top of unit threshold in its installation position.
2) After removable threshold is in place, run a 3/16" drill bit through the pre-drilled holes so as to mark the unit for
installation of the brass anchors.
3) Remove threshold and drill the marked spots with a 1/4" drill bit (drilled hole to be about 5/8" deep.)
4) Install the brass anchors by setting them in the drilled out holes, placing the block of wood on top of them and
then hammering them into place. Do not hammer the brass anchors without the block of wood as contact with
the acrylic shower unit from a hammer blow may cause the unit to crack.
5) Place removable threshold on unit in its installation position and using a Phillips head screwdriver, run a
#10 x 1½" screw through each hole in removable threshold and into the brass anchor (tightening firmly).
6) Install a 1/2" diameter nylon plug into each hole in removable threshold and using a 1/4" Allen Head wrench,
tighten plugs firmly into place.
7) Apply a bead of silicone around the inside edge of removable threshold to avoid any water from leaking out of
unit or becoming trapped in unit.
Steps to remove the removable threshold:
1) Remove the ½-13 x 1/2" length nylon socket set screws with 1/4" Allen Head wrench.
2) Remove the #10-32 x 1½" length stainless steel screws with Phillips head screwdriver.
3) Remove the removable threshold.
4) Install a #10-32 x 5/8" slotted round head nylon screw into each brass anchor with slotted head screwdriver
(tightening firmly) to keep unit watertight.
