SAVE THIS MANUAL. These instructions are important, and contain operating and safety
information that can help prevent personal injury or death, and prevent damage to the
power pack itself as well as vehicles and equipment it may be connected to.
The safety information in this manual includes both a ! symbol and a signal word that indi-
cates the hazard.
Indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in serious injury or death.
Indicates a practice which could result in damage to the portable power pack, the
vehicle or equipment it is connected to, or other property damage.
• Read entire manual before using this product. Follow the instructions in this manual
and the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the battery you are connecting to
as well as the vehicle or equipment you are jump starting or powering.
• Wear safety goggles.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use if power pack case, cables, or clamps are damaged.
• Do not allow the power pack battery to freeze.
• Never attempt to jump start a frozen battery.
• Do not touch the power pack clamps together or to the same piece of conductive metal.
• Do not submerge in water.
• Do not disassemble. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer to service section of this
manual.
• Use in conjunction with lead acid batteries only. Do not use with dry cell batteries or
other battery types such as lithium ion, nickel hydride, or others.
• This product is intended for negative ground applications only. DO NOT USE ON
POSITIVE GROUND SYSTEMS.
