Follow These Wire Connection Instructions:
1. Remove the cable tie securing the ratcheting battery hold-down
strap, and feed the strap through the ratchet so it will fit around the
two batteries when they are in position.
2. Connect the two wires labeled 2 to the negative post of the top
shelf battery.
3. With the negative wires connected, fit the battery into the top shelf,
negative terminals first. Make sure the ratcheting hold-down strap fits
under and over the battery correctly, but leave it loose.
4. Fit the other battery into the bottom compartment, making sure that
the ratcheting hold-down fits under and over the battery correctly.
Tighten the hold-down to secure both batteries.
5. Connect the four wires labeled 4 to the negative post of the lower
battery.
6. Connect the four wires labeled 1 to the positive post of upper battery.
7. Connect the two wires labeled 3 to the positive post of lower battery.
To replace or service batteries, be sure to reverse this sequence exactly.
Save the positive cable terminal protectors and cover the positive terminals whenever they are
disconnected from batteries. Reinstall the front compartment cover with the four retaining screws.
