1 Introduction
The KEMP LoadMaster load balancing solution is specifically optimized for the Fujitsu Primergy
servers, enabling customers to deploy full-feature, high-performance load balancers. This can
reduce network design complexity as well as increased performance. The Fujitsu Primergy
servers are optimized for all types of business applications by focusing on versatility and
scalability. The KEMP solution is designed to handle load balancing for application-to-application
connections for external/internet based connections to web services.
This document describes the steps required to install the KEMP LoadMaster software on a
Fujitsu Primergy Server.
1.1
Prerequisites
The following prerequisites are needed:
A Fujitsu Primergy server
A CD with the LoadMaster software.

For a standalone LoadMaster, one IP-address on an untagged LAN is required. Three IP-
addresses are required for a High Availability (HA) pair.
A USB CD-ROM drive, or one built in to the server
A USB keyboard and VGA monitor
The boot order on the server should be configured as follows:
1. CDROM
2. HDD
