To reset the “SETUP” settings in the
Control Menu of CD/DVD function

Press DISPLAY when playback is
stopped.
The Control Menu appears.

Press or repeatedly to select
(SETUP), then press ENTER.

Press or repeatedly to select
“CUSTOM,” then press ENTER.
The Setup Menu appears.

Press or repeatedly to select
“SYSTEM SETUP,” then press ENTER.

Press or repeatedly to select
“RESET,” then press ENTER.

Press or repeatedly to select
“YES,” then press ENTER.
The “SETUP” settings are reset
to the default settings except for
“PARENTAL CONTROL” settings
(page 51). Do not press while
resetting. Resetting takes a few
minutes to complete.
Note
“MEDIA,” “INTERVAL” and “EFFECT”
settings also return to the default settings.
Self-diagnosis function
(When letters/numbers appear on the
screen)
When the self-diagnosis function
is activated to prevent the system
from malfunctioning, a 5-character
service number (e.g. C 13 50) with a
combination of a letter and 4 digits
appears on the screen. In this case, check
the following table.
