Manual Exposure Shooting
You can shoot at your favorite exposure by manually setting the shutter speed and aperture
value.
1. Set the mode dial to (Manual Exposure Shooting).
2. Press
on the control wheel to select the shutter speed, aperture (F value), focus or ISO
speed.
Each time you press the center of the control wheel, the item to be set will change.
When you want to set the focus, you can also select MENU
[Focus] and select
(Flexible Spot AF),
(Semi Manual) or
(Manual Focus).
When shooting in Manual Exposure Shooting mode with Smile Shutter [On],
on the
control wheel is used for Tracking focus. Settings such as the shutter speed, aperture (F
value), focus and ISO cannot be adjusted.
3. Turn the control wheel to select a value.

Select a shutter speed from 1/1600 seconds to 30 seconds.
When zoom is set fully to W, you can select an aperture of F3.3 or F8 (when used with the
Internal ND (Neutral Density) Filter).
When zoom is set fully to T, you can select an aperture of F5.9 or F14 (when used with the
Internal ND (Neutral Density) Filter).
4. Press the shutter button to shoot the image.
Setting the shutter speed and aperture (F value)
The difference between the settings and proper exposure judged by the camera appears as an
EV on screen.
A: Shutter speed
B: Aperture (F value)
C: EV
0EV is the value judged as the most suitable by the camera.
When the shutter speed is one second or slower, the shutter speed is indicated by [”], for
example, [1”].
