Movie format
You can set the recording method used to record movies.
1. Set the camera to shooting mode.

[AVCHD 60i/60p] (for 1080 60i-compliant devices) or [AVCHD 50i/50p] (for 1080
50i-compliant devices) movies are recorded. Sets the recording method to
AVCHD, which is suitable for viewing smooth video images on a high-definition
television. Blu-ray discs, AVCHD discs and DVD-Video discs can be created
using the supplied software “PMB”. However, movies shot with the image quality
set to [AVC HD 28M (PS)] cannot be recorded to a disc in the same quality.
Convert the image using “PMB” before saving to a disc. DVD or AVCHD discs
cannot be created from movies recorded in [AVC HD 24M (FX)] quality. Save
[AVC HD 24M (FX)] quality movies to Blu-ray discs.
MP4
MP4 (AVC) movies are recorded. Sets the recording method to MP4, which is
suitable for WEB uploads and e-mail attachments. No discs can be created from
MP4 movies, even if you use the supplied software “PMB”.
