Using your VAIO computer
The pointer does not move
Depending on the application in use, the pointer may temporarily freeze.
Wait for a while and try again. If the pointer sill does not move, connect the supplied folding keyboard and proceed as follows to turn
off or restart your computer.
1 Press ++ simultaneously.
The Windows Task Manager window appears.
2 Press + simultaneously, use <R> or <r> to choose Turn off or Restart, and then press .
If this procedure does not work, slide the POWER switch in the direction of the arrow and hold it for at least four seconds.
My computer responds to click when I touch the multi-pointer
The Press to Select function of the multi-pointer on your computer is enabled. Proceed as follows to disable the function.
1 Click Start and then Control Panel.
The Control Panel window appears.
2 Click the Printers and Other Hardware icon.
3 Click the Mouse icon.
The Mouse Properties window appears.
4 Click the Device Settings tab.
5 Click Settings.
6 Click Press to Select on the left side.
7 Click to deselect the Enable Press-to-Select check box.
8 Click OK.
