Using your VAIO computer
Removing the battery pack
To remove the battery pack, proceed as follows:
1 Turn off the computer.
2 Slide the LOCK lever on the top of your computer in the reverse direction of the arrow.
3 Slide and hold the release lever outwards.
4 Raise the battery diagonally to remove from the computer.
Troubleshooting power supply
My computer does not start or the power switch is disabled (The power indicator flashes quickly)
❑ The HOLD switch may be turned on. Slide the switch in the reverse direction of the arrow and bring your system back into normal
mode.
❑ The battery that is attached to your computer is not compatible. Remove the battery.
A message appears and my computer is in Hibernate mode
The battery that is attached to your computer is not compatible. Wait till your computer shuts down and then remove the battery.

You may lose data if you remove the battery pack while the computer is on and not connected to the AC adapter or if you remove
the battery while the computer is in
Standby mode.
