Using a flathead screwdriver, secure the module to the AT-WD1008
chassis by tightening the captive screw.
7.
Attach the MiniDIN8 connector on the management cable to the
RS-232 port on the management module. Attach the other end
of the cable to a terminal or a personal computer with a terminal
emulator program.
8.
To manage the multiplexer from a remote management station,
connect a Category 3 or better twisted pair cable with an RJ-45
connector to the 10Base-T port on the management module.
Connect the other end of the twisted pair cable to a half-duplex
10 Mbps or 10/100 Mbps port on an Ethernet hub or switch.

If you are installing the AT-WD1008 Multiplexer for the first time, refer
to the AT-WD1008 Installation Guide for instructions on how to
complete the installation. Otherwise, power ON the AT-WD1008
Multiplexer. If the multiplexer contains an RPS unit, power ON the RPS
unit as well.
This completes the installation procedure for the management module.
For instructions on how to establish a management session, refer to the
AT-S47 Management Software User’s Guide, available from the Allied
Telesyn web site.
Reset Button
On the front panel of the management module is a Reset button. Pressing
the button resets the AT-WDM02 Management Module. Resetting the
management module does not interrupt the flow of data traffic through
the multiplexer.
