Registering faces
You can register faces amongst portrait shots. Registered faces can be
viewed by categorizing the priority in Smart Album. However, the face
registration function can be used only when inserting an external memory
card.
Ê For a portrait shot
1. Select a portrait shot and press the
MENU button.
2. Select the [Face Registration] menu by
pressing the UP/DOWN buttons and
then press the RIGHT button.
3. Select the desired sub menu by press-
ing the UP/DOWN buttons.
[No]: The face registration function is
disabled.
[Yes]: The face registration function is
enabled.
4. A registration window for face detection
appears when pressing the OK button.
5. Select [Yes] by pressing the UP/DOWN
buttons.
6. A face is registered in order of priority
when pressing the OK button.
Ê For a group shot
Steps 1 to 3 are identical to the proce-
dure for a portrait shot.
4. When using the OK button, a focus
frame and a check box appear on a
face which can be registered.
5. Select the desired face for registration
by pressing the LEFT/RIGHT buttons
and then press the OK button.
6. A registration window for face detection
appears when pressing the Fn button.
7. Select [Yes] by pressing the UP/DOWN
buttons.
8. A face is registered in order of priority
when pressing the OK button.
å Face registration is available for up to 3 people in playback
mode. When the face registration exceeds the limitation, the
first registered face is cancelled and the new face is added.
