Selecting a resolution and quality

As you increase the resolution, your photo or video has more
pixels in it, so it can be printed on larger paper or displayed on
a larger screen. When you use a high resolution, the file size will
also increase.
When taking a photo:

In Shooting mode, touch .

Select a resolution.
Option Description
4384x3288 Print on A1 paper.
4384x2920 Print on A1 paper in wide ratio (3:2).
4384x2464 Print on A2 paper or playback on an HDTV.
3264x2448 Print on A3 paper.
Option Description
2592x1944 Print on A4 paper.
1920x1080 Print on A5 paper or playback on an HDTV.
1024x768 Attach to an email or post on a Web page.
When recording a video:

For HD quality, select 1280x720HQ or 1280x720.
