Switching on the appliance

Once it is connected, the appliance is
switched on and the green indicator

"/4 lights up.
n
If the red indicator lights up
(figure
"/3), this means that the
temperature in the appliance is too
high and you must only put frozen food
in the freezer once this red indicator
has gone out.
Setting the temperature
The temperature selector is set to
position 4 at the factory.
To change the temperature, turn the
temperature selector, figure
"/2.
Position 1: Highest temperature
Position 6: Lowest temperature
Important: Changes to the temperature
take time to come into effect.
Notes on using the appliance
n
When you switch on the appliance, the
temperature for the freezer
compartment is automatically set to
approx. -18 °C if no temperature has
been entered.
n
If you cannot open the lid immediately
after closing the chest, please wait for
two to three minutes until the resulting
vacuum has been compensated for.
Warning messages
Temperature alarm
If the temperature in the freezer
compartment becomes too warm
(approx. -9 °C) and the frozen food is at
risk, the "alarm" indicator lights up,
figure
"/3.
Utilisable volume
You will find information regarding the
utilisable volume on the rating plate.

Using the entire freezing
capacity
To store the maximum quantity of frozen
food, you can remove the basket from
the appliance.
Freezer compartment
Use the freezer compartment for the
following:
n
Storing deep frozen food.
n
To make ice cubes.
n
To freeze food.
Note!
Ensure that the appliance is always
closed. If the lid is open, the frozen food
will thaw. The freezer compartment ices
up heavily. In addition: Energy is lost due
to the power consumption.
