Boiling water
Please fold out the illustrated page!
Do not switch on an empty appliance,
as it could be damaged.
Observe the max mark!
Before boiling water, close the lid and insert the
filter, otherwise the automatic steam stop will
not function!

Risk of scalding!
Do not open the lid while it is hot.
Leave the appliance to cool down for 5 minutes
before refilling with water.
Information:
The appliance switches off as soon as the
boiling process ends.
Note:
For physical reasons condensation may form
on the base. This is a normal process and the
kettle is not leaking.
Cleaning and descaling
Never immerse the kettle or the base in water
or put in the dishwasher!
Do not use a steam cleaner.

Pull out the mains plug.

Wipe the outside of the kettle and base
with a damp cloth only. Do not use caustic
or abrasive cleaning agents.

Rinse out the kettle and scale filter with clear
water.
Regular descaling
- prolongs the service life of the appliance
- ensures that the kettle functions properly
- reduces the boiling time
- saves energy
Descale the kettle with vinegar
or a commercially available descaling agent.

Fill the kettle up to the max mark with water
and bring to the boil. Then add approx.
1 cup of household vinegar and leave
to react for several hours.

Or use descaling agent according to the
manufacturer's instructions, never bring to
the boil.

Remove the scale filter and place in a little
vinegar.
S
Then rinse the kettle and scale filter with
clear water.
Attention: Never remove residual scale with
hard implements, otherwise the seal will
be damaged.
Eliminating minor faults
yourself
The appliance is not heating up. The indicator
light does not come on > the overheating
protection system has actuated.

Switch in Off position, take the kettle off the
base (after the kettle has cooled down for
a fairly long time) and put back on again.
The appliance can be switched on again.
The appliance switches off before the boiling
process ends > the appliance is calcified.

Descale the appliance according to the
instructions.

This appliance is labelled in accordance
with European Directive 2002/96/EG
concerning used electrical and
electronic appliances (waste electrical
and electronic equipment ć WEEE).
The guideline determines the
framework for the return and recycling
of used appliances as applicable
throughout the EU.
Please ask your dealer about current means
of disposal.
