Gearbox Oil Level
The Gearboxes have been filled with lubricant to the proper dipstick level prior to shipment. However, you
should check the oil level dipstick before operating, and frequently thereafter. To check for accurate oil level on
gearbox, run the cutter for a couple of minutes to allow the gearbox to warm up to at least 70° or 75° and allow
the oil to run into the dipstick reservoir. This allows for proper oil level to be checked. Correct oil level should be
between the two grooves on dipstick. Never fill gearbox with to much oil, damage to gearbox seals can occur.
Refer to figure below for correct oil level.
NOTE: Overfilling the Gearbox will cause pressure to build up and cause Oil Seals to leak.
ATTENTION: If the Gearbox suddenly starts making an unusual noise, stop at once, check for leaks, and refill
Gearbox as required.
Recommended lubricant is Multi-Purpose Gear Oil (P/N 00786250). Center box capacity is 2-1/2 Quarts.
