TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
SOLUTION
Light will not switch on.
Pull the cord to turn on the light. If the cord doesn’t pull you may need to open the unit by following the battery
changing steps and fixing cord attachment to light.
Ensure that the batteries have been fully charged in direct sunlight for 3 sunny days. Artificial light will not charge
the battery. It must charge in sunlight.
Check to see that the solar panel is facing South and that it receives 6-8 hours of sunlight per day, enabling the
batteries to fully charge
Battery charge may be low. Turn the power switch to the OFF position and charge the batteries for three (3)

BEFORE USING YOUR SOLAR SHED LIGHT
During the initial charge period, the ON/OFF cord on the main body of
your Solar Shed Light must be at the OFF position.
Leave the light in this position for at least 3 days while the solar panel is
in direct sunlight. This will ensure that the batteries in your Solar
Powered Shed Light have a full charge prior to normal operation.
After the initial 3 day charge, your Solar Shed Light is now ready for use.
Pull the ON/OFF cord on the main body firmly but not too hard to turn the
light on. Pull again to turn the light off. Remember to turn it off before
leaving the shed to conserve battery power. You now will have light
whenever you need it.
MAINTENANCE
The LED lights in your Solar Shed Light will last up to 30,000 hours and
should never need replacement.
To keep your Solar Shed Light looking new, keep the solar panel free of
dust and deposits by wiping occasionally with a dry cloth or with warm
soapy water if necessary. A dirty solar panel will not allow the batteries to
fully charge and this will shorten the life of the batteries and may cause
the light to malfunction.
CHANGING THE BATTERIES
Your Solar Shed Light uses 3 AA Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries. They
typically last for several years. To replace the batteries:
a) Take off the clear lens cover by using a knife edge or thin screwdriver
head to pop it off.
b) Unscrewing the 4 screws holding the light together.
