Step 8: HDD Settings
•
Status: This shows if your HD D (hard disk drive) is working
(recording) or not working (no disk).
•
Capacity Total/Free: This will show the total HDD space and how
much free space is on the HDD. The maximum HDD capacity is 2
terabytes.
•
Format: Check this box to format an HDD.
•
Format button: Select this button to format the HDD. Formatting
the HDD will erase all data and allow the DVR to read and write the
files to and from the HDD.
•
Overwrite: Choose one of three options: “by days”, “by capacity,”
or “never.” This setting will write over the oldest files first.
•
Max Reserved Days: This option will be shown only if you choose
“by days” in the Overwrite feature.
Once you have changed the settings to fit your needs, select the Next
button to move to the next step.
