STEP 1: Connecting your DVR to the Battery Backup
A. Locate DC-to-DC power cable.
B. Connect one end of the cable to your existing DVR power input port (DC-12V).
C. Connect the opposite end to your Battery Backup output port.
Locate the female power connector attached to the camera; this should be
labeled “TO DVR.”
B. Connect the red RCA power adapter on the 60 ft. BNC cable to the male
connector on the back of the Battery Backup.

Repeat steps A-B for all cameras.
E. Plug the opposite end of the AC power adapter into a wall socket, power strip,
or surge protector.
F. Flip the red power switch on the Battery Backup to the On position.
Once all cameras are properly connected, connect the AC power cable to the
Battery Backup (marked AC IN).

Please make sure your DVR system is unplugged before starting.

STEP 2: Connecting your cameras to the Battery Backup
STEP 3: Operating your Battery Backup
The Battery Backup has an integrated power level indicator to help you monitor your DVR’s power status and consumption.
A. When the system is operating normally, the button on the front of your Battery Backup will be illuminated by a blue LED status ring.
When AC power is connected and your system is working normally:
B. Pressing the button once will show the battery level on the LED status ring:
- Green: battery level is > 65% capacity
- Yellow: battery level is between 20-65% capacity
- Red: battery level is between 10-20% capacity
- Flashing red: battery level is < 10% capacity
C. The LED status ring will return to a blue ready state after 6-8 seconds.

When AC power is disconnected and your system is using the Backup Battery:
A. When the system is operating on backup power, the button on the front of your
Battery Backup will not be illuminated.
C. The LED status ring will return to an unlit state after 6-8 seconds. Note the
number of hours your system can continue to be powered on using the Battery
Backup as the only power source.
B. Pressing the button once will show the battery level on the LED status ring as
it does normally.
