When using only the red and white
AV signal cables, the player can
output dual track high-quality au-
dio signals to at least the following
peripherals:

1. Amplifiers

2. Two-track and reel-to-reel tape
recorders

3. Digital magnetic tape recorders
(DAT)

4. Mini Disc CDR player/recorders

Once connected the external au-
dio equipment can be used to
record or play the music from this
player.

Audio output is delivered at stable amplitude and cannot be
increased or decreased using the player’s volume control. Use
the volume control onboard the equipment receiving the signal
input to control sound volume.

Most input jacks are of the 3.5 or 5mm specification. When your
peripheral is of the latter type, you should purchase an RCA-
type adapter.

Through the optical port located
on the side of the player, audio
signals from a disc can be deliv-

decoding capability via the Digi-
tal Optical Fibre signal cable.
This port can also be used to
transmit disc codes for the
following:

1. Dolby AC-3 Surround Sound

2. DTS (Digital Theater System)
Sound

To output S-Video signals your player must be on AC power
(power cord), not on DC batteries.
