IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed
to prevent the risk of fire, electric shock, burns, or other injuries or damages.
• Read all instructions before use.
• To protect against fire, electrical shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord,
plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquids.
• This appliance should not be used by children and care should be taken when used
near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and
before cleaning.
• Do not operate appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Call our toll-
free customer assistance number for information on examination, repair, or
adjustment.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injuries to persons.
• Do not use outdoors or in a damp area.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• To disconnect the appliance, release the control button. Let the appliance come to
a complete stop, then remove plug from the wall outlet.
• Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use.
• Avoid contacting moving parts.
• Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils away from beater
during operation to reduce the risk of injury to persons, and/or damage to the
mixer.
• Keep hands and utensils away from the cutting blade while chopping food to reduce
the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the food chopper. A scrapper may
be used but only when the food chopper is not running.
• Remove beaters from mixer before washing.
• Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
• When mixing liquids, especially hot liquids, use a tall container or make small
quantities at a time to reduce spillage.
• Container must be properly in place before operating the appliance.
• Do not attempt to operate the appliance without blending, whisking or chopping
accessories correctly attached.
• When using the chopper bowl be certain the cover is securely locked in place
before operating the appliance.
