HP NetServer AutoPilot Notifications and Alarms
The HP AutoPilot notifications and alarms are based on factory-defined error
thresholds specifically set for the HP NetServer E Series. A condition change that
might effect HP NetServer function is identified and briefly described on the
notification screen. Alarms and notifications are triggered by changes in disk volume
(capacity), Network Interface Card (NIC) status, and predictive SCSI drive failure.
A notification or alarm is displayed whenever one of HP AutoPilot's preset thresholds
is exceeded. Here is an example of a notification sent to the HP AutoPilot Client:

Notice that the severity of the notification coming from the HP NetServer is color-
coded in the traffic light icon in the upper-left corner of the screen:
•
a green light indicates a return to normal operations
•
a yellow light cautions that a minor problem condition exists
•
a red light signals that a critical event occurred; immediate action may be indicated
This symbol indicates an informational message; no action is necessary.
