2 System requirements for installation
Hardware requirements
There are no specific hardware requirements for installing the RMD Tool other than the hardware
requirements for installing RMH.
Software requirements
RMH must be installed and running. The RMD Tool must be installed on the RMH Server. The RMD
Tool can diagnose only the RMH Server and the Agents managed by this server. If multiple RMH
Servers are available, then the RMD Tool must be installed on each RMH Server for the Tool to
perform the diagnosis.
The RMD Tool uses WMI to perform checks on the remote RMH Agents, so you must set the required
firewall exception for WMI. For more information about configuring and setting exceptions for
WMI, see
