This section shows you how to get your port replicator and OmniBook up and
running quickly, including how to
♦ Update the OmniBook BIOS to enable docking.
♦ Docking the OmniBook.
♦ Undocking the OmniBook.
♦ Attach a security cable.
To update the OmniBook BIOS
Depending on when you purchased the OmniBook, you may need to update the
OmniBook BIOS to enable docking. The Update program automatically checks your
BIOS version and displays a message if you do not need to update the BIOS. .
1. Important
Attach ac power to the OmniBook.
2. Insert the BIOS Update disk in drive A: and turn on the OmniBook.
Be careful to check the label of the floppy disk for the correct language to
install.
3. When the Update BIOS screen appears, press C to continue.
Do not interrupt the update process.
4. When prompted, remove the Update disk and reset the OmniBook.
