5. Use the down arrow to highlight the EMP item and press .
6. Use the arrow keys to do the following:

Set Access Mode to Active
o
Set Restricted Access Mode to Disable
o
Set Connection Mode to Modem Connect
o
Set DCD Mode to Enabled
o
Set the Baud Rate to 19200
o
Set Flow Control to Disabled
7. Set a password for the managed server. Whenever a user tries to connect to the server using a serial
connection, they must supply this password to gain access to the server. To set the password, click Set
Password and follow the screen directions.
8. Click Save to save your changes.
9. Click OK to get back to the SMConfig Utility main screen.
