Setting Up Your Phone
1. Install the battery.
Ⅲ Press down on the top part of the battery cover
with your thumb and slide the cover downward to
remove it from the back of the phone.
Ⅲ Insert the battery into the opening, making sure
the connectors align (
). Gently press down to
secure the battery ( ).
Ⅲ Replace the battery cover and slide it upward until
it clicks into place.
2. Press and hold to turn the phone on.
Ⅲ If your phone is activated, it will turn on, search for
Sprint service, and enter standby mode.
Ⅲ If your phone is not yet activated, see “Activating
Your Phone” on page 3 for more information.
3. Make your first call.
Ⅲ Slide the phone open and use your keypad to
enter a phone number.
Ⅲ Press .

Note Your phone’s battery should have enough charge
to turn on, find a signal, set up your voicemail, and
make a call. You should fully charge your battery as
soon as possible. See “Charging the Battery” on
page 16 for details.
