Load your document

Lift the Document Support Arms a.

Place your document, face down, top edge first
in the document feeder between the Guides
until you feel it touch the inside of the machine
gently.

2 Scan using
ControlCenter4
(Windows
®
)

Click the (ControlCenter4) icon in the
system tray, and then select Open from the
menu.

Select Home Mode in the mode dialog box.
The ControlCenter4 window appears.

Click (Scan). The machine starts to feed
and scan your document.

Click (Save). The Save dialog box
appears.
NOTE
When you load multiple documents, position the
documents so that the leading edges are aligned
at a slight angle in the feed direction.

If the icon is not displayed in the system tray,
do one of the following:
• Windows
®
XP, Windows Vista
®
and
Windows ® 7 users: Click (Start) > All
Programs > Brother > ADS-XXXXX >
ControlCenter4 (where XXXXX is your model
name).
• Windows
®
8 users: Double-click (Brother
Utilities) on the desktop, and then click
(ControlCenter4).
