General Overview
1. Tocompressair,thepistonmovesupanddowninthecylinder.Onthedownstrokeairisdrawn
inthroughthevalveinlet.Thedischargevalveremainsclosed.Ontheupstrokeofthepistonairis
compressed.
2. Theinletvalveclosesandairisforcedoutthroughthedischargevalve,throughtheCheckValve,
andintotheAirTank.
3. WorkingairisnotavailableuntiltheAirCompressorhasraisedthetankpressureabovethatre-
quiredattheairserviceconnection.
4. Theairinletfilteropeningsmustbekeptclearofobstructions,whichcouldreduceairdeliveryofthe
AirCompressor.
Air Pressure Adjustment
1. YourAirCompressorissuppliedwithanAirPressureRegulator.ThisRegulatoradjuststheairpres-
sure.
2. Toincreaseairpressure,turntheAirRegulatorclockwise.
3. Todecreaseairpressure,turntheAirRegulatorcounterclockwise.
4. TheAirRegulatorgaugewillshowthecurrentpressureselected.
Daily (or before each use)
1. Checkoillevel.
2. Checkforanyunusualnoiseorvibration.
3. Besureallnutsandboltsaretight.
Weekly
1. CleanbreatherholeonOilBreatherCap.
2. DrainwaterfromtheAirTankthroughtheDrainValve.
3. KeepAirFiltercleanatalltimes.DonotoperatetheAirCompressorwiththeairfilterremoved.
4. AdirtyAirFilterwillnotallowyourAirCompressortooperateatfullcapacity.Beforeyouuseyour
AirCompressor,checktheAirFiltertobesureitisclean.Ifitisdirtyreplacethefilterelement.
