BEFORE OPERATING YOUR NEW AIR COMPRESSOR completethefollowingsteps.
1. Checkthatallnutsandboltsaresecure.
2. MakesuretheoilhasbeenproperlyaddedtoyourAirCompressor.
3. PlaceyourAirCompressoronafirm,levelsurfaceinaclean,dry,wellventilatedarea.
4. YourAirCompressorshouldbelocated12to18inchesfromwallsoranyotherobstructionwhich
wouldinterferewithairflow.YourAirCompressorshouldbelocatedinatemperaturecontrolledarea
between32°and95°F.
5. YourAirCompressorisdesignedwithheatdissipationfinswhichallowforpropercooling.Keep
thefinsandallotherpartscleanfromdustordirt.AcleanAirCompressorrunscoolerandprovides
longerservice.
6. Donotplacerags,containersorothermaterialontopofyourAirCompressor.
Power Source Connection
YourAirCompressorisdesignedtooperateonaproperlygrounded120volt,60HZ,singlephase,
alternatingcurrent(AC)powersourcewithafused20Amptimedelayedfuseorcircuitbreaker.Itis
recommendedthataqualifiedelectricianverifytheACTUALVOLTAGEatthereceptacleintowhich
theunitwillbepluggedandconfirmthatthereceptacleisproperlyfusedandgrounded.Theuseofthe
propercircuitsizecaneliminatenuisancecircuitbreakertrippingwhileoperatingyourAirCompressor.

Initial Start-Up Procedures
1. OpentheAirTankDrainValvetopermitairtoescape,preventingairpressurebuildupintheAir
Tank.
2. Runthecompressorforaminimumof20minutesinthis“no-load”positiontolubricatethepiston.
3. CloseAirTankDrainValve.Yourcompressorisreadyforuse.
4. SeepneumatictoolinstructionsforinstructionsonhowtoconnectthetooltoyourAirCompressor.
DependingontheCFMdrawofthetoolsbeingoperated,yournewAirCompressorcanbeusedfor
operatingpaintsprayers,airtools,greaseguns,airbrushes,caulkingguns,abrasiveblasters,tire&
plastictoyinflation,sprayingweedkillerandinsecticides,etc.ProperadjustmentoftheAirPressure
Regulatorisnecessaryforalloftheseoperations.Refertotheairpressurespecificationsprovidedwith
thetoolyouareusing.
