1. Shut off water supply and drain water line.
2. Tap into water line with a hacksaw.
3. Join incoming water line to softener intake valve
using easy-to-install installation kit 136599.
4. Connect softener outlet valve to existing exposed
water line.

1. Hard water is measured by grains of hardness.
2. Take your total grains of hardness as indicated by our
test.
3. Add 4 grains of hardness for each PPM of ferrous iron
(to compensate for iron.)
4. Count the number of members in your household.
5. Simply intersect the grains column with your family
member total.
