Installation by a trained mechanic is recommended.
Remove the two upper strut mounting nuts and remove the
strut. Support the lower control arm with a jack. Unbolt and
remove the upper ball joint retaining bolt.
Use a ball joint separator or other appropriate tool to break the ball
joint loose from the upper control arm. If tool is unavailable to you,
taper can be freed by striking the upper control arm with a hammer.
Lower the jack.
Place the lower strut mount in a vise. Install the ReadyLift
strut extension using the factory nuts. Tighten to 42 ft-lbs.
Loosen, but do not remove the strut arm pinch bolt. This allow
this strut to rotate around for reinstallation.

Loosen but do not remove the lower strut mounting nut.
Use a pitman arm puller of similar tool to break the taper. If
not available, you can use a hammer to free the taper by strik-
ing the lower strut mount while prying on it.
