3.3 CALCULATION OF RATE AND TOTAL
3.3.1 Frequency Input
The flowrate, R, is calculated as follows:
R = f x H
S
where f is the input frequency in Hz.
H is the timebase of rate and is 1 for seconds, 60 for
minutes, 3600 for hours and 86,400 for days.
S is the Scaling Factor.
The Scaling Factor, S, is equal to the K-factor of the flowmeter expressed in pulses
per unit volume.
The user programs the Scaling Factor and selects the timebase during the
Calibration procedure as detailed in Section 5 of this manual.
