INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION FOR KIT #256080
MANUAL REMOTE SHIFTER USED WITH RPH-8000 WINCH
Locate and drill (2) 7/16 (.44) dia. holes in the headboard of the bed for mounting bracket (item #1), as
shown below. Attach bracket to headboard using (2) 3/8-16NC x 1" lg. capscrews (item #6) with flatwashers
and nuts (items #8 & #7). DO NOT TIGHTEN NUTS
Shift the winch to engage the clutch. Remove existing handle by driving out existing pin. Be careful to
support shifter to prevent damage. Discard handle and pin. Attach coupling (item #3) to the shifter shaft
using rollpin (item #11). Adjust bracket (item #1) until collar (item #2) clears inside of bracket by 1/32" (see
SECTION A-A). Tighten nuts (item #7). DISENGAGE and ENGAGE the clutch several times to ensure
there is no binding and that the clutch fully engages and disengages (see DETAIL B). Remove adhesive
backing from decal (item #10) and stick decal to surface near handle, in clear view of operator.
