INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION FOR KIT #256070
MANUAL REMOTE SHIFTER USED WITH RPH-8000 WINCH
1. Drill (2) 7/16 (.44") dia. holes in the head rail of the bed to mount the support angle (item #1), as
shown below. Attach the angle with hardware provided. Verify that the guide hole in angle is directly
in line with the shifter shaft on the winch. Remove adhesive backing from decal (item #9) and stick
decal to angle, as shown.
2. Shift the winch to engage the clutch. Remove existing handle by driving out existing pin.
3. Attach the handle (item #3) to the shaft by driving the roll pin (item #10) into place. Insert shaft (item
#4) through hole in angle. Thread jam nut (item #7) and coupling (item #2) onto the end of the shaft.
Attach the coupling to shifter shaft on the winch with the pin (item #10). Be careful to support the
shifter assembly to prevent damage while driving in the pin.
4. Thread the shaft into the coupling until the handle is within 1/8" (.12) of the support angle and the
handle is horizontal. Tighten the jam nut (item #7) against coupling to lock in place. DISENGAGE
and ENGAGE the clutch several times to ensure there is no binding and the clutch moves freely.
