STEP 2
Remove the factory flange nut at the spring eyebolt. To facilitate removal, use a heat gun on the nut
to soften the thread-locking compound. Remove the two upper shackle mount plate bolts (Figure 2).
STEP 3
Install the frame mounting brackets #2 using the factory flange nut at the spring eyebolt. Reapply
Ford thread-locking compound (Ford part # EOAZ-19554-AA) or Loctite 242 to the threads and torque
the flange nut to 185 ft-lbs. (250 Nm).
WARNING
FAILURE TO USE THE RECOMMENDED THREAD-LOCKING COMPOUND AND TO TORQUE THE FLANGE
NUT TO 185 FT-LBS. COULD RESULT IN SPRING MOUNT FAILURE.
Next install the M12 X 1.75 X 65mm bolts #4 and lockwashers #7 at the upper bolt locations using the
supplied spacers #1 to fill the gap (Figure 2). Some vehicles may also require the supplied flat
washers #6 (not shown) in this location as additional spacers. Use the existing vehicle nuts to loosely
secure the bolts.
Install the QM front receiver #9 between the frame mounting brackets and secure using two ½” X
1-1/2” bolts #3 and lockwashers #7 each side. Torque to 87 ft-lbs. (118 Nm).
Torque the frame mounting bracket upper bolts #4 to 90 ft-lbs. (122 Nm).
