Pull back on the collar, insert the new nozzle and release the collar. Tug on the nozzle to make sure
it is securely in place. For most effective cleaning, keep the spray nozzle between 8 to 24 inches
away from the surface to be cleaned. If you get the spray nozzle too close, you may damage the
surface. DO NOT get closer than 6 inches when cleaning automobile tires, fabrics or anything that can
puncture or tear.
If Your Unit is Equipped with the Roto Jet Turbo Nozzle
Note the turbo nozzle rotates the high pressure stream in a rapid circular pattern. The high pressure
spray is most effective when the tip of the nozzle extension is held between 8 to 24 inches from the
surface being cleaned. Start the turbo nozzle at a distance, gradually getting closer to the surface until
you get the cleaning force you want.
WARNING! The turbo nozzle produces an extremely high pressure spray which is capable of removing
paint and cutting holes through surfaces if held too close. Always make sure the surface you will clean
will not be damaged by the high pressure spray by testing in a hidden area. NOTE: Detergent cannot
be applied with the turbo nozzle.
Using Soaps and Detergents
IMPORTANT: Use soaps designed specifically for pressure washers. Household detergents may damage
the pump. To apply detergent follow these steps:
• Review the use of the nozzles.
• Prepare the detergent solution as required by the chemical manufacturer.
• Place the chemical injection siphon/filter into the detergent container.
CAUTION! Keep the chemical injection tube from coming in contact with the hot muffler.
• If your unit is equipped with quick-connect nozzles, make sure the black nozzle is installed. Detergent
cannot be applied with the high pressure quick-connect nozzles (White, Green, Yellow, or Red).
• Apply the detergent to a dry surface, starting at lower portion of area to be washed and work
upward, using long, even, overlapping strokes. DO NOT allow the detergent to dry on (prevents
streaking).
• Reapply as needed to prevent surface from drying. Note: Always refer to chemical manufacturers
instructions for best results.
Pressure Washer Rinsing
After you have applied detergent, scour the surface with the high pressure water stream and then rinse
it clean, as follows:
• Apply safety latch to spray gun.
• Replace the black soap nozzle with an appropriate rinse nozzle.
• Keep the spray gun a safe distance from the area you plan to spray.
• Disengage the safety latch on the spray gun. Rinse soap from surface working from the top down in
an even pattern.
CAUTION! Test a small area of the surface to be cleaned. Make sure there is no damage caused by the
high pressure spray.
Cleaning Detergent Siphoning Tube
• Place the chemical injection siphon/filter in a bucket full of clean water.
• Attach the black low pressure nozzle or slide the adjustable nozzle forward to low pressure mode.
• Flush for 1-2 minutes with fresh water.
General Maintenance Recommendations
The pressure washer warranty does not cover items that have been subjected to operator abuse or
negligence. To receive full value from the warranty, the operator must maintain the pressure washer as
