INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
for KING European Convector “KCE Series”
HEATER INSTALLATION
1. Secure wall bracket to the wall. Make sure to respect
spacings (Fig. 1). KCEH2405 bracket must be attached
to wall at the top right corner.
2. Bring electric wires to the center of the heater, the center
of the bracket or directly under the junction box
(Fig. 1, item A).
3. Remove wire holder from the junction box. Make
connections according to local and national codes.
Reinstall wire holder making sure that it is attached
properly.
4. Install convector on its bracket. First, place bottom of the
heater into the bracket hooks. Then, simply pivot the
heater toward the wall.
5. Secure heater with two (2) screws located on top of heater
(Fig. 2, item B). This way, ground link is made.
** In some applications, the top of the heater is not
reachable. Repeat operations 1 to 3 then, remove front
of heater, top and bottom grille. Secure heater to vertical
part of wall bracket using two (2) screws.
HEATER OPERATION
Please refer to thermostat guide supplied.
IMPORTANT
- Heater and its wall bracket must be installed on the surface
of the wall (recess mounting cannot be done).
- Allow 20 in. (508 mm) minimum clearance from the front
and the top of the heater.
- Allow 2 in. (50 mm) minimum clearance below heater.
- We recommend to keep a distance of 39 1/2 in. (1004 mm)
minimum from the bathtub according to local and national
codes.
MAINTENANCE
It is obvious that, when there is accumulation of dust inside
the heater, its effi ciency will be affected. We therefore
recommend to clean the heater once a year. To facilitate the
cleaning, the heater can easily be unhooked from the wall
bracket. Heater front cover can be taken out by removing
screws at the bottom to facilitate cleaning. Caution, remove
power supply before opening the front cover.
You may also use a vacuum cleaner on the inlet and outlet
grille to remove dust.
WARRANTY
KING ELECTRICAL MFG. CO.. warrants the electric heating
element of the KCE Series for a fi ve (5) year period; and its
